This is a listing of the variety of ministries we have available. We believe that people grow best in their relationship with Christ by connecting to others and committing to serve in ministry. At SonRise, we want people to have the freedom of choice. God has given each one of us interests, gifts and talents to use in the world. These shared interests form the foundation for building relationships with people inside and outside of the church. It is our hope that finding the right ministry will help in that process.

SonRise’s purpose, stated in Ephesians 4:12-13, is “to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” Growing in Christ and preparing God’s people for works of service is our purpose.

How can you DO CHURCH? Is it showing kindness to everyone you meet? Is it helping your neighbor? Is it reading the Bible and responding to what you learn? Is it praying? What is God putting on your heart? Whatever it is, chances are, at SonRise, there is someone else who has that same passion or interest, too.

I consider the above quote a challenge – one that our small group ministries are perfectly equipped to fulfill. We hear the Word and Message on Sunday morning, and getting involved in a small group is one way to put those ideas into action.

As you read through this booklet, open your heart and mind to where God may be leading you to serve in a new way – a place where you can RETHINK what church really is. You will be transformed, which will create opportunities for growth in Christ – not only for yourself, but also for countless others that need to hear about God through you.

These three experienced leaders have vision for the future on how to develop their particular zone as SonRise grows. This booklet has been organized according to this new zone structure.
