Meal Makers serves those facing a time of need by providing meals prepared and delivered by group members.  Those with a new baby in the home, recovering from surgery, or facing a tragedy are examples of families that are recommended for our service.  When a family in need is recommended, the coordinator communicates with the group members to schedule who can bring meals on designated days, and also to inform meal providers with food preferences and any allergies of the family.

Meal Makers work independently; once they have their designated day, they create or purchase a meal, contact the family for a delivery time, and bring the meal to the family.  Depending on the situation, the Meal Maker should also plan on a short visit with the family.
