- Aug. 7: SonRise Worship Team will present a night of worship music, 7:00 pm
- Aug. 8: Picnic at Lovell Park immediately following the 2nd service
- Aug. 29: Bluegrass concert with group "Fireweed", 7:00 pm

The SonRise Children's Choir teaches ways to worship and experience God through music. Children's Choir is open to all children from Kindergarten through 5th grades with rehearsal on Wednesdays evenings from 6:30-7:00 pm during the academic year. The choir shares the music it learns with the church congregation for God's glory regularly; the dates and times will announced through e-mail, phone, or letters.

The purpose of Sunday School is to help our children from Kindergarten through 5th grades become disciples of Jesus Christ by learning the stories of God. In order to accomplish this, we strive to use curricula that moves through the Bible stories in order and accomodates different learning styles. The children are involved in a story and then do activities to support the idea of the story. Sunday School meets Sunday mornings following the children's sermon at the 10:45 service during the academic year. Children are accepted into Sunday School whenever they are at church on Sunday mornings.

SonRise Kids provides a mid-week fellowship time for our children that are in Kindergarten through 5th grades. The primary focus for SonRise Kids is to have time for play and fun in a safe environment with various activities, including a Christian lesson. Activities include organized games and projects, such as service projects, nature walks, and crafts. All children are accepted at any time. SonRise Kids meets Wednesday evenings from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the church during the academic year. Schedule varies depending on church season.

The purpose of Children’s Worship is to help our children from Kindergarten through 5th grades learn to worship God, Jesus, and the Spirit through interactive and age-appropriate ways. Children’s Worship meets Sunday mornings during the 9:00 worship service following the children’s sermon during the academic year. The children follow an order of worship: greeting, singing, prayer, story using manipulative figures (sermon), and response time. The response time includes working individually with previous stories, drawing, reading, and praying. Closing time brings the children back together to share what they have learned.

Sunday Morning Nursery provides childcare for children ages 0-5 (pre-kindergarten) during both Sunday morning services (9:00 and 10:45). Nursery workers are available in the church nursery 15 minutes prior to the start of service to welcome children and have parents sign them in and provide any special instructions.
Children in the nursery are involved in an age-appropriate Bible story, activity, and prayer. The remainder of the time is spent in free-play and socialization. Basic services are provided, such as bottle-feeding, diapering, and bathroom assistance. Workers strive to provide a nurturing environment that introduces the youngest of children to the love of Christ.
