SonRise Church has participated in several ministries in Sierra Leone, West Africa.  1. Operation Classroom is a group within the Rocky Mountain Conference that builds classroom buildings, teacher training and provides education resources for children in Sierra leone.  2. The School for Working Children has received financial support through SonRise.  It provides a late afternoon school for children who work during the day to support their families.  3. Abu's Orphanage has received funds from SonRise members who support an orphan to go to school.  The Sierra Leone Ministries group will educate the congregation to the needs in Sierra leone, gather supplies, raise funds for this cause and plan future trips to Sierra Leone.
