SonRise Legacy Fund
The SonRise Legacy Endowment Fund provides a way for persons to give gifts that provide for the long-term future of the church. The principal of these gifts is held in perpetuity with the investment income made available as needed for missions and major maintenance of the church.
Why an Endowment?
To provide permanent, financial gifts that will help support the missions and ministries of the church as well as ensure upkeep of the church.
General Fund— For ongoing and new mission fund needs (55%) and church maintenance (45%) as determined by the elected leadership of the church.
Designated Funds — With a donation of $10,000 or more a donor can designate a specific purpose of the fund such as a Scholarship Fund, Vacation Bible School Fund or a new ministry or mission fund.
Investment and Administration of Funds:
The Legacy Endowment Funds are invested with the Rocky Mountain United Methodist Foundation. The Endowment Committee reviews and approves the investment policies on an annual basis. Any transfer of the Fund’s assets to any other agent must be approved by the Charge Conference of SonRise Church. Income from each endowment shall be available for distribution by the Committee according to the purpose of each endowment.
The funds of SonRise Legacy Endowment Fund are administered by the Endowment Fund Committee under authority granted by SonRise Church Charge Conference. The complete Endowment Fund Establishment document is available at the Church.
