SUNDAY READERS FOR IN-PERSON WORSHIP: Would you like to be a reader for Sunday morning worship? If so, contact the church office so we can get you on the schedule!!
ALL CHURCH CLEAN-UP DAY: Your help is needed and appreciated!! Saturday, May 1, at 8 a.m. Bring rakes, shovels, electric trimmers w/extension cords. For more information, contact Keith Bulander at 719-334-9816.
SOFT DRINK CANS / PULL TABS: While you’re setting aside your aluminum cans for the Youth fundraiser, there is another giving opportunity for the pull tabs! SonRise UMW is collecting the tabs to donate to Ronald McDonald House in Colorado Springs. A special tub is available in the lobby to place your tabs. Cans can be placed at the back of the lobby for the Youth fund. Thanks so much for your amazing support, SonRise family!!
MIGRANT BAGS: UMW is again preparing migrant bags. Last year our church gave away ♥83 bags to the children of migrant workers! Each bag contains a bath towel, wash cloth, toothpaste, toothbrush, bar of soap, and a comb. There is a table at the church where you can leave your donations. All donated items need to be at the church by May 12th. Thank you, SonRise, for your amazing generosity!
WILL YOU SEW? We still have 23 migrant bags ready to sew. It takes less than an hour to sew one. Pick up fabric (already cut to size) from the table in the lobby, and a direction sheet explaining how to sew the bag. Sign out at the table the number of pieces of fabric you are taking home, along with your name and phone number. All bags need to be returned by May 12th. *You do not need to fill the completed bags with the listed items (it’s ok if you want to).* You do not need to put in the drawstring. We will fill the bags and do drawstrings at our May 13th meeting. Thank you for your help!
LOS POBRES DONATIONS: Flour, oil, toothpaste, shampoo, and bar soap donations for Los Pobres are always appreciated. Contact the church office or Gerald & Marcia Faust if you have any questions.
